...Holy Moly!  I had an "r&b" ballad project for an up and coming young female vocalist this weekend and it was my first real chance to use the new American Concert D.  On the Sade-like tune it was mostly just ethereal fills around the vocals which it did quite nicely.  After I had a rough mix of the project out of Sonar I decided to just let fly and record about 3 or 4 minutes of very dynamic piano and then loop it and step through the presets on the D.  This thing is a total monster.  It kicks all my other pianos straight to the curb.  And then tells them to get on the next bus and don't come back.  Ever.  If you are in the market for the best piano emulation out there bar none you need look no further.  Go and listen to any of "7notemode"s demos of the D on YouTube over your studio speakers (and they just scratch the surface).  I wish technology would just leave me and my dern pocketbook the heck alone.  It's dang near killin me.

OK yoroldpal you have me droolin'. My main problem is if I get this I will feel the need to upgrade my keyboard controller to graded hammer action. It would seem wrong to play it any other way.

I'd like to learn more about pedal options.

I have two piano style keyboards but I think they only use 1 pedal connection.

Someday I want to learn what it takes to have all the pedals for the players, as I have imagined that the samplers have functions I am not yet accessing.

@Starise...My controller is a graded hammer action and I would certainly recommend that to be the best for a piano of this caliber.  Although many players use synth action boards with no trouble at all.  I came up playing (mostly) acoustic and Rhodes style actions and I can't imagine not having the hammer action for any piano I might use.  Still that's just me.  YMMV.

@Mike...There are great video tutorials and walkthroughs at both Synthogy and YouTube but the control options on the D are extensive to say the least.

My version I got in 200? (can't remember) sounds so good? I'm sure the new version is really cool, but they did such a good version on the one they did so many years ago, I'm going to hang on to it :-)

I love the Ivory II pianos - they're incredible sounding and I've used them in a lot of my projects

Does anyone know what the install interlok driver choice is about?

I already have the latest iLok driver.

Are they related? The same thing?
