I just watched a video about color customization suggesting that the track view "header backgrounds", console view "strip backgrounds", and "waveforms" can all be synced to the same color. I assumed it was speaking about X3.
I don't want to change the "header backgrounds" or the "strip backgrounds" or the "waveform" colors ( that's what you do in Pro Tools but I find it distracting, perhaps even gratuitous ) I just want to change the actual clip back ground colors like I've done with SONAR for years and years.
I want to have all my waveforms the same color so my mind can see them as a
stacked meter on the vertical axis. Having waveforms separated into different colors looks cute... but it doesn't mind meld the way it does for me in SONAR 8.5.
It seems like Cakewalk copied one of Pro Tools less sophisticated features and has not restored the color tools flexibility to a point where it matches the sophistication of SONAR 8.5 or earlier.
I hope I am wrong and just need to learn more about the new features.
best regards,
mike
