SO - current desktop still working fine, but decided to go ahead and build a MONSTER. I am just sharing this because I am SOOOOO stoked at the new build. Everything is already ordered up and will arrive in a series of 5 deliveries over the next few days.
Then comes the build, and then comes the load, and then comes the OH YEAH.

- Primary Drive: One 256 GB SATA III SSD (Windows 10 Pro x64)
- Sample Drives: Two 2 TB SATA III 7,200 HDD's
- Audio Drive: One 2 TB SATA III 7,200 HDD
- Misc Data Drive: One 2 TB SATA III 7,200 HDD
NEW Desktop Specs: - AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950x (with liquid CPU cooler with 6 fans and 390 mm radiator)
- 128 GB RAM
- 1600 Watt Power Supply Fully Modular
- Primary Drive: One 2 TB PCIe M.2 SSD (Windows 10 Pro x64)
- Sample Drives: Two 2 TB SATA III SSD's (have two additional spares, loaded and kept stored externally as backups)
- Audio Drive: One 4 TB SATA III 7,200 HDD (also have external 5 TB backup drive USB 3 just to backup audio projects)
- Misc Data Drive: One 2 TB SATA III 7,200 HDD (have a spare in case of failure, same specs)
- Video Card: GTX 1080 liquid cooled 8 GB RAM
I have a couple of additional backup drives, one acts as a periodically loaded clone of the primary drive, stored externally as backup, and the other is a periodically loaded backup of the misc data drive, stored externally as backup
