I genuinely didn't know that people still used laundromats these days. Is that still common in US ? I thought they had gone the way of telephone boxes and VHS, can't remember the last time I even saw one.
The levels people will stoop to and what people will steal these days is amazing though. Near where I live a woman who had been knocked over by a car that had just driven off and left her had her phone stolen by someone else as she laid on the ground, who also left her there . I say these days, but thinking about it, it's long been the case. I crashed a car many years ago (rolled it several times) and it ended up upside down in a ditch in a field. I was knocked out and taken to hospital. By the time the car was recovered a few hours later, someone had climbed in and stolen the stereo system. It wasn't even a particularly good one.
