yea someone above recommended the percussion kit for bfd2 and since it was on sale i grabbed it. haven't gotten to play with it a lot yet but so far it's really cool and sounds great. however realistic percussion might not be what i was actually looking for. if you listen to a lot of modern pop music... for lack of a better description it's like "shimmering sparkles" that come in during the choruses. that description sounds awful haha. but listen to stuff like katy perry, lady gaga, kesha, one direction, rhianna. they all have it. it's not really real percussion, but that's the only way i'd know to describe the sound since it mixed in with the drum beat and picks everything up and makes it seem faster during the chorus.
AAS' Chromaphone is perfect for that. On sale now. Percussion, textures, bells, gongs, blocks, synths, pads. Swooshes, swishes, shimmers, tinkles, bubbles, wobbles, warbles....
(LOL - listen to some demos, etc.)
The "Microsound Textures" soundset is brand new - $19 introductory sale now - and has a number of this type of preset - and it is easy to build on something, or build your own.
