Ditto...

The fact that there is an X3a already is scary...

I'm waiting...and waiting for a sale...$150 is too much...

$99 for Studio and all X2 PC modules will show up in X3 PC (but not QuadCurveEQ) which was confirmed by Andrew.

I know Bapu, but you loose the Tape Sim, the Quad Fly Out, and some other key features..
THAT should be the price for the upgrade to Producer, and I'm willing to bet that AD is what
prompted the $50 price increase..that I don't need..

I, too, have the MUST PULL THE TRIGGER syndrome..

But I'm not going to....I'm gonna play it right for once...
and get it all (maybe more) for cheaper...

Tell me that it's all good tomorrow after you've installed it, K?

It is remarkably quite upstairs for such a launch...

The Facebook page has a lot of upset customers about the price..
and many who are opting out...and many others who are excited...

Time will tell..

O do feel the days of the 99 dollar upgrade from producer to producer are gone, never to return ..

SO it boils down to do you fee the $51 is worth the additional content AND possible super dooper audio engine .

I agree, and in all fairness George, it did used to be an annual $199 to upgrade at one time.

I would also concur that the real value also depends on what you already have in your DAW arsenal. Of the new toys that come bundled with Producer, I only (already) own the Blues Tube plugs, so Melodyne, Addictive Drums, Lounge Lizard and even Straum Acoustic (I don't own an acoustic geetar) are very nice and welcome additions indeed.

Added to the Tape Emulator and Quad-curve EQ enhancements in the Pro-Channel, plus what looks like an intuitive and much-needed redesign of Take Lanes and a return to Colour Customisations (my two major beefs with X2), this is well worth the upgrade for me.

McQ'sMMV

I'll give it some thought.  I still have to upgrade my hardware before I can actually use it though.  RMIX is gone already?

So Im getting the drum kit and the new features, but I am going to wait a week to see the bugs..

AFA McQ, Bapu is upstairs posting in his persona

I'm making a complete arse out of myself upstairs trying to get them to release a Producer version without all the extra crap for $50 and one with the useful integrated crap like Melodyne, the QuadCurve and Tape Sim for $100.

It's probably p*ssing them (and others) off but damn... I don't NEED another Rhodes sim or drum program or freaking MIDI guitar thingy or a bunch of third party plugs.

The Quad looks great though. Just not $150 of great.
