Wow, Orange tree rocks. On top of the quickly released video's, I just got my first free update. Greg is setting the bar pretty high, glad I bought it.

Enjoy! I can't wait to start working on the picked version, too.

It's a longer video this time, but there's a lot to cover! This one is an overview of the effects section in Evolution Electric Bass Rick.

I'm really interested in the Rick library, but with only 2 music samples on the product page I don't get a lot of examples of its sound.  I've listen to the NI library and there are a lot of tones I like, but I'd like to hear more of "Rick".

One of the tones I want to be sure of from a Rickenbacker is a Beatles era McCartney - (could that be the Macca?)

I'm also a flatwound type of guy. Does the OT use flatwounds, and/or will the picked version use flatwounds?

Now that I hear there will be an OT picked version I don't know whether to wait for that one, could it be that current users might get a discount on the picked version....?

I'll have to make more demo songs, or a video that goes through the included presets.

You might also check out the video tutorial on the effects, which will give you a general idea of the different tones Evolution Electric Bass Rick can get.

Yup. Bear in mind that it's modeled after his general Rickenbacker tone, but it doesn't have the bridge mute and is played finger-style.

I used round-round strings because of the versatility it gives you with the high end. It's fairly simple to use an EQ (even the built-in EQ) to attenuate the highs and emulate the tone of flatwound strings.

There should be a discount, considering it's likely that I offer bundle discounts of both libraries as well.
