A Revolution in Analog Modeled Plugin Compression

Introducing the Virtual Buss Compressors plugin.
Virtual Buss Compressors comprises three unique sounding, 100% analog modeled dynamic processors that are ideal for program material including full mixes, mastering, drums, group mixes, and more.
Every nuance of real analog compressors has been modeled; including the exact nonlinear characteristics of their transformers, tubes, VCAs, amplifiers, phase distortions, harmonic distortions, and timing.
Virtual Buss Compressors contains 3 models of some of the industry's most sought after analog gear.  The FG-GREY is a replication of the classic British console compressor, with some fat sounding transformers added in to beef up the low end.  The GREY will give your mix that classic glue and punch that you've heard on so many hits!  The FG-RED is a replication of the classic RED mixbuss compressor that has been used for decades by some of the world's top mixers.  It sounds tight, punchy, and has rich harmonics from the output transformers. The FG-MU is a hybrid of several tube compressor designs that is lush, warm, fat, and open sounding.  The MU will give your mix tons of depth and analog vibe!  Each compressor also includes a hi pass filter and parallel mix wet/dry knob for ultimate flexibility! Finally, some of the most common professional presets have been added to each compressor to get you started quickly!
Each purchase of the VBC gets you 2 activations of the VBC RACK, as well as individual Compressor plugins. This way, you can use the VBC on two of your machines with iloks.  The VBC is 64bit for VST and AU, and 32bit for PT10 AAX.  AAX 64bit for PT11 coming soon.
VBC SPECIAL INTRO PRICING: $199 with FREE iLOK2 Until July 12th 2013

Cool video, Zo.  Very entertaining commentary.   Almost makes me want to buy it right now.  But, I'm going to wait a bit, at least until the iLok situation gets fixed.

For anyone wanting to buy this, jrrshop.com has the best price I've seen.

Cheers,
Eddie

Looks nice judging by the video. I rarely use comps for mastering & already have several good ones for drum buss chores.
I might try the demo but iLok is pretty much a no-to for my future plugin purchases.

What I don't get is Slate's intro pricing structure:

Buy it and have it shipped WITH a "free" iLok2.........................$199
Buy it and download it WITHOUT a "free" iLok2.........................$199

huh??

Surely you should get some sort of discount for foregoing the iLok...$35...$50.

Sheesh.

Anywhoo, looks good but I'm waiting till it really goes on sale.

PS:  I was also disappointed that they didn't include any of the usual Fabrice face palms after Steven makes fun of his accent in the intro video:-)

I've got so many compressors right now, I wouldn't know what to do with another.  (Probably just misuse it simply because I have a new toy.)

Must have asap. I didn't even know I needed it, but now I must have it. I've gotta admit though.... all of the Slate stuff that I own is really outstanding.

+1

My all time fav is still FG-X for Metal and Hard Rock mixes.

It's fairly decent on light acoustic material.

Jury is still out on VCC for me.

Slate Premium 4.0 is nice now that most of the bugs are fixed. But I still gravitate to Toontrack, maybe because it was the first drum rompler I used in this ITB pahse of my life (and boy do I have truck load of drum romplers).

Listened to the demo yesterday of VBC and I was not overly impressed, but I think that is because I still (foolishly) look for dramatic A/B comparrisons. That was one subtle A/B that I'd rather not spend $199 on right now.

Just dl'd the demo & authorized iLok without any problems. Checking them out on a drum buss, I don't know how they compare to the hardware but they're very nice.
Useful features, lo latency & no apparent hiccupps so far, a mono version would be handy.
It's a 2 week demo, worth checking out.

This is worth it! Just finished a mix with it and love it for rock music.
I went back and listened to the old mix and it sounded dead and flat. It has a nice way to bring a lively punch to the music.
