I used to drive a bigger version of that tractor and ice maker at our local arena. That is so cool to see a half size John Deere model.. That apparatus he's towing is the ice machine ( AKA ZAMBONI ) Half will scrape the old ice off into the front container and then a hot water tank and a pipe with little holes and a flap of terrycloth towels dragging on the surface to spread it evenly which replaces with nice new ice..The trick is to take off and replace with exact same amount or the ice gets too thick or too thin. Looks like a homemade rig, might be available from Canadian Tire out east, dunno.
In one of my original songs I tell the story of my life and one verse is: ( 6/8 time )
" The sawmill was nice, then I learned to make ice, I built a few homes on the sly
" But the bank got it's way, and they took all my pay, now something feels wrong deep inside"
