They have now released this for windows have been looking at it for a while could prove a real time saver but will have to test it out.
 
The idea is that it will check if there is any available updates for any of your plugins. Best of all it free!

Just an update, tried this and it worked really well, Easy install and setup and does look like it will save time on chasing down updates!
 
It even found updates for some of the independent developers as well.

Were you able to get this to work with nested folders? Although even plugins that are in the vst folder itself with no sub folders are problematic - many missed plugs. I agree it seems to locate updates - but it is hit or miss on actually locating the plugs. A feature I would like to see is to have a space for the authorization information - reg keys, serial numbers etc. even if it had to be typed or pasted in. One plug that could scan, get version info, then store reg info. Great idea though and look forward to future updates.

It has just as an update to version 1.04.
 
This time found a lot more of my plugins so I think  it will get better as feedback and updates roll out,

Thank you. That's much better. Still some missing plugs but most are now picked up. This can definitely be a useful app.
