Kramer MPX is good. A few years ago it was one of the two reel/tape programs that were the all the rage, the "standards" so to speak; the other was UAD Studer. I like MPX and it gives a realistic, warm tape saturation; of course it has several different tape speeds and wow and flutter etc. Then Nomad Factory came out with Magnetic (and Magnetic II) and it was all the rave. Then TB came out with their very affordable ReelBus. To be honest, I now use Magnetic and ReelBus more than Kramer MPX, not for any rational reason, just because I like their sound. I have Ferric, but I never use it only because I have the others and they work for me.
I honestly don't regret getting MPX, and right now is the time to get it while it is on sale. I hope others will chime in and perhaps give more rational info on MPX. [Edit: I just checked and saw what the price was on AudioDeluxe with the $50 discount. WOW. For this price, I would go on an get it; it is certainly worth grabbing it if you are ever considering getting it. I have never seen it for this price (counting in the discount).]]
