My first car was a black 67 Mustang, then I owned a 65 Mustang red, next a Datsun 280z yellow, then a Datsun pickup Green, next a Mazda pick up red, then a red Jeep Cherokee, then a purplish Jeep Grand Cherokee, next a black Jeep Liberty, then a black Hundya Sonata, and finally I am in a charcoal Honda Accord.

If color indicates your personality, I must be really messed up.

I have had enough black cars to know that you have a higher likelihood of getting hit with a dark color. I had my agent give me the statistics on that after the last 3 dark colored cars. I like black cars, probably my favorite color. Hot in Texas and hard to keep shiney clean, though. I typically just pick the color that I think the car looks best in; if I have a choice.

I wonder what personality buys a completely chrome car?  Oh wait... The Bieber has one doesn't he?

I've had cars of various colors.  I usually go for the options first.  Several have been silver/light gray--a 64 Ford and a 99 Subaru.  A white 90 Toyota MR2 and a charcoal 89 MR2.  A brown & white 79 Chevy van.  A greenish/gray 71 Pinto and a beige 68 Opel Kadett.  I guess I'm schizophrenic.

Black--or navy blue--cars look sharp, but I wouldn't get one here in CA, because of the heat it would absorb.

That and the fact you'd have to wash it every other day due to all the smog and dust!

I've never wanted to pay extra 500 euros for the color of the car, so I've picked one of the 4-5 available factory colors, which means my cars have always been blue or red.

You just know that some wise guy would have made that comment to the dealer when he was thinking about buying one and the dealer would;'ve said back " yeah, but that's why it's got the special hood..." .

Where I live we don't get to see all these cool supercars you guys have in California. If one did somehow materialize down here everyone would just stand around gawking at it like it was a UFO- think "Back to the Future" when the farmer finds the DeLorean in the barn.

Abu Dhabi numberplate, that figures.  There was a complete chrome Rolls Royce with Saudi Numbers plates for a while in the area I stay in when I am in Dubai. The other unusual colour you see here is matt black.

I would think that the color/personality connection could be made if you're shopping for a particular color, or pick a particular color from 2 otherwise identical cars.
Here are all the cars I've owned, and their colors:
