As it stands, I believe the issue only arises if you're trying to use a 32 bit wave editor with a 64 bit version of Sonar.
Most editors are 32bit and work fine in 64bit SONAR. Editors would not really benefit from 64bit because they do need to address that much memory.
But this has nothing to do with the request. Even if CW implemented automatic editor detection again, it would modify the registry just like the programs in message #2.
While waiting for Cakewalk to implement this request, if anyone has trouble using the tool I wrote, I would be glad to help.
