so  sony released an update. vegas 12 is 1+ years old, and the updates still keep coming...

but this update had a bug, found immediately by forum members, who reported it to sony. the next day, a sony developer came on the forum and said, (i paraphrase) "sorry guys, this one is my fault. i zigged when i shoulda zagged..."

the next day, the updated update was released, aok.

now, sony has hired a new QC employee named adam, who introduced himself to the forum because...

wait for it...

part of his job is to monitor the forums and interact with the members about issues, concerns...

talk about a tale of two cities, i mean companies...

Cakewalk zigged when it should have zagged. Their solution was to announce it as an improvement, making zig, the new zag.

Maybe Vegas is getting its act together now - but it wasn't always that way, not even close. If you were around for vers 10 and 11, you'll know what I mean.

true, last summer there was a near user revolution that ultimately made them change the way they dealt with the forum community, their most loyal users...

All well and good, but we all know that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. As it should. One of them rules that there's no need at all to mess with. ;)

It's all a fight over control and ownership between the Platforms and the Apps, the hosts and the guests, The domino effect is prevalent in emerging technology. Sad system for the end result, us, the consumer-user.
