I never liked the 3 pick ups configuration - I thought it looked unbalanced. But that doesn't mean I couldn't do w/ at least ONE such Les Paul in my collection.
I've also seen a 1988 Epiphone S-800 (super strat type of guitar) - which I had spotted in a pawn shop in July (they've put it on the web too.) I don't know why it keeps on nagging me. It has a Steinberger tremolo - which I know nothing about. And it doesn't look that cool, but, it could work. I've actually played it to test an amp I bought.
I'd like some kind of super strat for some stuff - but nothing expensive. The Epi could be an option or then, maybe a Kramer Pacer or such...
