To those who do not own it, let me highly recommend the Fender Collection.  It is spot on Fender.  If you are after that Fender glassy tone, this is a must have.

Also, you can use Gear Credits to purchase complete collections (I had not know that until recently).  This Fender Collection is available for 125 gear credits.  So if you have purchased a bunch of gear credits back during the IKM group buy, do the math and use some credits.  The Fender Collection is a great deal especially if you still have some of those Group Buy credits remaining.

BTW, did I say that I really like the Fender Collection?  Of course I have.

Since there are a few Bass Amp simulators on sale right now, I've been doing some demoing and comparing.  Softube's Bass Amp Room has a cool GUI and some full and fat sounds.  Studio Devil's Virtual Bass Amp has convincing presence and tone.  And IK's Ampeg BA-500 is very clear and natural, with great definition.

Of these, I'm liking the IK the best, but until I can be convinced that the Ampeg license I buy is permanent, not subject to expiration no matter how many times I upgrade my DAW, I might go with my second-favorite instead (the Studio Devil).    IK Obi, care to comment?

Cheers,
Eddie

Thank you!  I was hesitant because of the authorization scheme, which implies you have a limit on the number of times you can re-authorize your plugins.  But I'll take your word for it.
So, I just noticed that the Studio Devil bass amp I was demoing was the base model, not the Pro version which is on sale right now.  More comparing to come ... :-)

Cheers,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,

I have both the Ampeg SVX and the Fender. They are Both keepers in my book! YMMV.

Kind regards,
Rick
