I actually received my notice from an aware vendor who wanted it's customers to have a smooth transition.
It sure seems like iLok itself should have notified us that this window would open up and leave people stranded.
It just seems like further evidence that iLok is nothing but a huge "con" on any purchase decision list.
I'm using it... but it seems like extortion performed by an outfit that only really seems to care about itself and maintaining a parasitic symbiosis with developers desperate to not have their work stolen.
I get why the developers use it... but iLok stinks. The fact that it can't swap out a website in less than a few minutes suggests to me that they don't have a vital operation and that they are merely accustomed to milking the developers for extortion money.
I anticipate that vendors will iUnlock the stuff in the coming years.
