I recently purchased this and like how it works on my vocal tracks--automatically.  I have NOT been using the Write Automation/Read Automation option before bouncing down...and now I'm wondering if on bounce down (or export) the effect is even being "recorded".
 
I suppose the easy answer is "use your ears" to find out, but I'm wondering if anyone here knows the quick answer--does a bounce down or export of these tracks "include" what is happening with Vocal Rider (or Bass Rider, for that matter) without recording and reading automation?

The only way a bounce or export will NOT use the track/buss fx's is if you turn them off in the dialog box.
 
Just to be sure you could do a null test.

Thanks.  I got to thinking about it, and it occurred to me that this process would be comparable to "sidechaining" (even though you can't sidechain Vocal Rider in SONAR), which works even if not automated and recorded.

I always use the WHAT YOU HEAR option on the export. I understand that it's not in all the Cakewalk products but as has been pointed out, it should default to what you hear regardless unless you have the bins bypassed.

IIRC, the side chain feature on the vocal rider needs VST3 or somesuch.  So it won't work with Sonar. 

Yorolpal, I was aware of that but got it anyway and like it for what it does:  it automates levels so that less or no compression ends up being necessary on the vocals.  That's still valuable to me, even though it won't do the "ducking" that sidechaining would do.  For that, I've been using the new Trackspacer plugin from Wavesfactory.
