I use bfd2 and it seems like there are a few cymbals that don't like to load. The files (samples) exist on the HD, sometimes they load and then just disappear from the kit in BFD2, sometime they won't load at all.  I remember reading a post indicating they may be a known issue with this.  I have searched for that post and can't find it now. Anyone know anything about this?

Just discovered this post and since no ones answered I'm wondering if you're still having this problem ?
The only things I can suggest are, are you on the latest version ? V.2.3.1.6  is that most recent. It still says public beta but it's been out for almost a year and I've never had a problem installing their betas on release.
 
There are also a few data/audio updates and fixes that you could try if you haven't already installed them and thirdly perhaps trashing & rebuilding your databases once you're completely up to date.
 
Also, which cymbals in particular are you having issues with ?

Turns out there is a fix on the FXPansion site, I ran the patch and seems to be working better. Maybe coincidence maybe not...

I thought I said that already, both here and on the BFD2 forum.
