Have you tried this reverb on lead vocals for pop music ?

The creator of the Phoenix Verb is Michael Carnes (man behind many of Lexicon's signature hardware reverbs).
I've listened to the Phoenix side-by-side with the PCM bundle... and the Phoenix (IMO) sounds significantly better.
Super smooth on drums...
This is where many software reverbs sound terrible.

I'm surprised you don't like the Phoenix on lead vocals (any genre)...

Hey Jim,
once again, excuse me for my English (I'm French): it's probably the cause of the misunderstanding :
I was just asking for user opinions concerning Phoenix, because I don't know anything about it (except just excellent feedbacks) and I cannot get the "lushing", "tridimensional" sound I want on my lead vocal from the reverbs I already have ! I invested on QL Spaces, believing it will fulfill my wishes, but, although it's a good quality, it lacks "character" in a whole mix.

I have no iLock 2, so now, I can't demo Phoenix, R2, Lexicon, Relab...
The Relab 480XL seems to have a very good fame too ! Just wondering if the AudioExponential reverbs are self sufficient and can magnify the lead vocal nearly in the manner of Bricasti.

Thanks

It's a shame that tc electronics refuses to get into the 64 Bit game, because they have made some top notch reverbs like the 'Fabrik R'- definitely my favorite, to which I still compare others to.

Thanks Mike!
I've been busy the last couple of months.  Much of the effort is for ProTools 11, which probably isn't of much interest to the majority of readers here.  But I've also been working on EuControl, which is available on many Windows and VST DAWs.  That will be available in the next release of the plugs.

Hi Michael,

Good to see you here.
I've been using Phoenix Verb since it's release it & find it very useful.

edit-also hope you'll be able to find an alternative to iLok in the future after the fiasco with their new software.
