I would love to add CSR to my T-racks deluxe, but I'm going to wait until the Christmas sales and upgrade to Grand. I just bought Valhalla Vintage Verb and the two Pro channel modules...I need to find something else to sale!

I seized the opportunity as CSR still have a good reputation (al though it is also critisized).
But Valhalla (Room and Vintage) seems to win unanimous support and seems to be very closed to the Lexicon reverbs (see :http://voxcaliber.com/review-valhalla-dsp-vintage-verb/  )

I'm looking for the "perfect" reverb for vocals (lead voice particularly). I have QL Spaces it's very clean/transparent and not enough character and doesn't cut through the mix (for voices) ! Star Le reverb from the Softube mix bundle is too much coloured; I didn't managed to get something good from Breverb ! Only, the Pantheon (I have from Sonar 8.5) gives something interesting !

I was about to purchase Relab 480 Lx or Lexicon stuff  (Princeton Digital also) but rather expensive and all the iLock 2 installation headhache, plus the 32 bits limitation for Lexicon, and apparently: instability issues !!

I really don't have much real world experience with Lexicon, although I've heard the same thing about Valhalla. I'm really liking the Vintage verb. I would think CSR would be able to deliver the goods. I'll probably still get it at some point. I think some people have a problem with Ik Multimedia and not their products (other than sampletank). Follow that link and try the demo...it cuts out every 45 seconds or so, but should give you a good idea.

I hope I was clear...I really like Ik products myself. Hopefully CSR and an upgrade to grand will go on sale again so I can get them both.

I installed CSR but after some error manipulations from me concerning the installation process, I have now little pop and crackle noises during the playback on certain project in which I put one CSR instance (??) And the most mysterious, is that those little noises still remain even after I remove the CSR plug  (???)


I contacted IK Multimedia support and I take benefit from this post to compliment the reactivity and the attention of the IK Multimedia technical support (I'm now in contact with Brian who makes every effort to try to resolve my problem !) : A BIG BRAVO and THANKS to  IK MULTIMEDIA who has an exemplary Support Service customer !!




Concerning the sound of CSR, on the other hand, (but it deals with my personal point of view !), I'm rather frustrated as I couldn't manage to get the lushness and this subtle "sparkle" which magnify the (lead) vocal. Maybe I haven't done the good settings (although I twisted many parameters); always looking for the Woaw factor concerning vocals !

Brian is great with technical issues, he's an incredibly smart guy. Our support really does try to have things taken care of quickly. Personally I've always liked to dig my verbs a bit in the mix. More tucking them behind the vocal than using them to shine them up a bit.
