Hi there.  has anyone found the different eq curves for things like boombox and car stereo effective?  I tried to check the car stereo one but it seemed much too forgiving. When I played the same mix in my car, it was much too boomy.  Wondering if these profiles are worth spending time on.

I rarely if ever use them. Correct the room and then go play it in the car.

I think it's more about checking your mixes against pro mixes of the same style and lots of trial and error and wasted CD-Rs.

Each of them are modeled after a specific speaker, car, etc. Yours probably sounds a bit different from the ones we modeled.
