I've been hit by that twice and I think "CRAIG B" (not craigb as I suspected all along) was hit by it three times.

Looking at SteveStrummerUK's recent posts, it seems like 48 were made in the last 24 hours.
 
CRAIG B (not craigb as I suspected all along) said I was blocked at 60. He said he seems to have been blocked at 30 (this last time for him).
 
I'm beginning to wonder if it's not a timing vs. post count thing to discourage spammers.

 
We make like children on occasion, but there's no need to treat us like children.
 
If, as you suggest Ed; this is an anti-spam strategy, then that really is taking the piss.
 
It's like Cakewalk saying they can't be arsed to monitor and police their own forums, so they'll treat everyone as if they're a potential spammer.

It's just like the pisspoor attitude of the local council and constabulary here in Worcester. There are speed humps in the road all over the place because a few arseholes want to drive past primary schools at 40~50mph. Instead of doing a bit of honest-to-goodness policework of arresting and taking these prick's driving liceneces away, they spend a fortune of my taxes putting concrete humps everywhere, so everybody, even the vast majority of us who drive safely, have to put up with the bloody things.
 
I'm going to start a thread about this upstairs as soon as I can post again with my 'real' log-in.

Yeah, it didn't stop that stupid watch spammer last night, but it did put a halt to the intelligent repartee between Steve and I.

Maybe if we start using "Kitchens in Newcastle" as the thread title, we can avoid the max.

Craig, that's one of the reasons I just registered another username. Aside from the CHB log-in, I've never set up another account in all the seven years I've been coming here. But this just takes the biscuit.
