Just curious but has anyone else tried to listen to the soundcloud demos of Ocean Way.  The only thing they'll play on for me is my iPad.  None of my desktops or laptop will play them.  In fact that don't do a thing when I click on them.
No problem here on my office computer (AmD 955be).  Haven't tried it on my studio machine.  The soundcloud audio demos on the UAD site for the Ocean Way work fine.  Just clicked and they play as expected.

Have people who have upgraded to latest version of the software had any problems, or have UAD got over the stability issues now?? Thanks Nigel

No problems here with V7.0. As far as stability issues, I have to admit I have installed over (50) UAD updates over the last 10+ years (I have installed every single update since 2002, within days of a release), I can only recall one occasion where I had an issue after installing a UAD update. I believe it was v5.0 where the UAD-2 Plate 140 would crash my computer hard (BSOD) when trying to open the plug-in, at a specific buffer size (64 samples). It was fixed less then four weeks later in v5.1. Not saying some users are not having issues, but stability (other then v5.0 and only in a specific instance), has never been an issue in my experience. I don't even think twice, new UAD update.......download....install.....done. Using v7.0 on both my PC & Mac Mini with no problems (other than what UA has stated as known issues in their release notes). If anyone would be having issues I think it would be me, using multiple computers (PC & Mac) and on my PC using (3) UAD devices together (UAD-2 QUAD PCIe, SOLO PCIe and an Apollo QUAD using FW800).
I would say go for it. If you are planning on using the x64 UAD versions, just make sure that SONAR is only seeing and scanning the x64 UAD plugin folder. The default is C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\Powered Plugins . You cannot have both (x86) and x64 versions being picked up and scanned by SONAR x64 or you will have performance issues. SONAR can only use one or the other.

The Oceanway plug is interesting. A world class studio in a plug in with mic location capability but, there is only one challenge i.e.  the original sound, if captured in an undesirable space, it is going to sound like an undesirable sound put into a world class studio. That said, I am sure it can offer some unique treatment which could be applied to a mix, but at $349 I don't find it so compelling and niche filling, that I would want to buy it.
