EZ Player Pro is included in Superior Drummer 2. If you are in no hurry, Toontrack products go on sale regularly. I picked up Superior Drummer during a Christmas sale for $128 ($29 for EzDrummer + $99 for upgrade to Superior Drummer).

I have both SD2 and BFD2 plus most of the expansions for both.  I definitely prefer SD2 overall, but I really like a few of BFD2's expansion (e.g., Percussion) and its groove editor.  I also think that it's a bit easier (to me, at least) to build custom kits with BFD2.  But, I prefer SD2's sounds, interface, and all the grooves that it ships with, including the ones with each expansion.  As for the price of their expansions, just keep an eye out for sales.  ToonTrack runs SDX sales pretty regularly and you can buy them even cheaper from resellers.  Also, SD2 will play the EZX expansions, which are really very good, especially for the price, and are on sale even more often.

If you're using E-drums to trigger samples, I find that Superior is much more playable out of the box than the competition. The others seem to require more tweaking to feel right.
