PS: Most of my friends have always been old farts so don't worry. I skew far more X than M.

I've always gotten along people who are much older than me, or much younger.  At my age, I could very well be good friends with myself.

Now that I'm getting older I can appreciate the company of younger people. The current crop takes a lot of crap (as most generations do from their elders) but I think, despite some of their derpiness, quite a lot of them are pretty decent kids.

I also think it's matter of me just simply being chronologically older. A "young" person to me now is significantly older (and thus more mature/experienced) than a young person was to me when I was in my 20's/30's.

I'm generally not that impressed by the young-uns of today apart from maybe certain aspects of their sense of humor. Specifically, meme culture. It started off lame but it's gotten really surreal, bizarre and random and that's my kind of comedy.

I like the libertarian streak in millenials.  I'm not a libertarian, but it's a great place from which to start thinking for oneself.
