Many moons ago I was visiting my mom who liked to take me for drives through the various small towns around her and stuff (for whatever weird mumzie reason, but it was nice). Whilst on one of our little jaunts I saw a store called "HG Watersports" and busted up laughing.
 
I was loathe to explain the source of my guffaws to my own mother but she insisted. I just told her the name of the store but did not elaborate why it was funny. She said she didn't get it. "Good" I thought.
 
A couple more miles down the road it hit her which resulted in her usual mumzie "shock" and " disgust" and claims that I'm a "dirty birdy"... and then the inevitable mumzie giggling.

Ya, she's a pretty cool old broad. Think I'll call her tomorrow.

Call her as often as you can.  I lost my cool mom 3-1/2 years ago (she was 81).  Miss the emails and calls.

Heh. We've been best friends since I was a kid (I didn't live with her) but ya, no. We're both kind of surly loners these days so once a week or so is enough for us.
 
Sorry about your loss. I'm not sure how well I'll handle it when she goes but fortunately she's going to live forever... because I said so.
