Well, there IS a bright side for Bill.   Without having any becan his ankles won't get bit.

I too have been on a gout diet for a few years (well.....kinda on & off), but my weakness is a "good" steak.......and I do mean "really good", dry rub/marinated at home steak. I grilled some rib-eye's last night and washed it down with a few Becks.....yammy!!!(sorry Bill, I did think of you and the blues though).....now I have to go back to a "healthier" diet like yours.

Bill, if your doctor told you hot dogs are fundamentally incompatible with a diabetic diet, he's secretly a vegan operative pushing a hidden agenda. It's only the bun that's evil, not the sausage. Take it from someone who's actually beaten diabetes. I've gone from four insulin injections a day to zero medication, and I eat a frickin' kielbasa or a slice of bacon any time I damn well please.

Why do they put corn syrup in the Oscar Meyer hot dogs?

(Hey, I wonder what a becan, hot dog, chocolate, pizza with a beer would taste like?  Hmm...  )

Under the right "pharmaceutical" situation it would probably work.

Bread, butter, Peanut butter, horseradish, bovril, and marmalade worked.

Sympathies Bill I do completely understand.

I have these intense cravings for sweets. Anything sweet! Chocolate and pasties with coffee! Pineapple banana pancakes with maple syrup. Peach cobbler and what I miss most of all ICE CREAM

Although there's no substitute for Becan, there are "sugar free" sweets, ice creams, and cakes etc....and some of these are actually pretty good. So, all is not lost Bill.......there's some light at the end of this tunnel.....you'll have to do a bit of searching to find them.
