  • Hey Obi...my Sonik Synth doesn't want to show up for work anymore!

Was busy deleting my old TRacks plugs and replacing them with my CS TRacks plugs in my plugin manager when I also noticed that Sonik Synth wasn't showing up anymore in my synth lists.  It was there in the plugin manager but no longer in the working list in Sonar (X2a).  I rescanned a couple of times and got it to show back up in the working list but it won't open...or it tries to open but can't.  Any suggestions?

Could something else have been deleted?

You can probably get a fresh download  from their site and simply point it to the sound folder.

I think would also try reinstalling the program and see if that cures the problem - do you think this could be anything to do with the Custom Shop software or does that not apply to synths? (I have never installed this on my machine)
Cheers

I can't open any of the "legacy" IK stuff in X2.
By "legacy" I mean any of the VSTi's or VST's that haven't had a 64 bit update.
CSR, Ampeg SVX, and all the Synths; SampleTank, etc. Dead in the Water!
This is on my Win 7 x86 machine and my x64 StudioCat.
If I open an existing X1 project that includes any of the "Legacy" stuff I get this:

If I try to insert any of the "Legacy" stuff into an X2 project, Sonar crashes.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing SampleTank, but that didn't help.

I can't believe I'm the only one having issues.

Evidently when IK does the x64 update something in the x32 dll changes as well.
The new Tracks works great and gives me access to CSR.
Amplitude works great and has the SVX patches as well, so I'm good to go.
But all the VSTi's are dead; at least in X2.
Part of the "bad taste in my mouth" with X2 was the issues opening projects that included the IK "legacy" stuff.
Once I got that sorted, its down to the Lanes issues, and the random white screens.
Still not quite "Prime Time" (X2a I mean) on my machines at least.
I know some are tickled pink, and some had/have issues with X1.

Go figure...

YMMV

You'll need jbridge to help open 32 bit plug ins in the 64 bit environment. SampleTank 3, which will be out later this year, will bring 64 bit functionality to all IK vi libraries.

Not exactly fresh.  The latest release dates from 2009.

I also see that several of my "manglers" (i.e. StutterEdit, Vocalizer, etc...) are no longer "configured as synth" hence aren't showing up either in the "synth effects" folder.  I corrected them and all are now back to normal.  Probably happened during scans after X2a and adding new plugs.  I'll make sure that Sonik is running under JBridge...tho SampleTank is working fine.  I'll keep ya posted.

Using Jbridge just crashed everything.  At least with BitBridge the tracks would show up but the GUI wouldn't open.  Sheesh.  Should iJust phone iHelp???  iMnotsure what iShoulddo.  Nevermind.  iDontCare anymore. iLLjustwait.  Keep Calm and Carry On iKobi.
