I don't think the upstairs really exists.  I think it's a mythical place like Mordor, Ceti Alpha V, Crematoria, or Deleware.  I'm just kidding, of course.  Everyone knows that Mordor is real.
 
Anyway, I think the world is a much safer and better place as long as we keep that area sealed off.
