I had typed a damn big PM to you and somehow this wonderful forum software deleted it all and left me at the beginning, boy I was PO about it,

I've had that happen too.  Sometimes, this wonderful new forum software chooses to map my backspace key to be a back page key instead so, after typing a small novel, I hit the backspace key to delete a character and find myself on the previous page - without all the text I just finished entering!
 
Some pretty loud expletives could probably be heard by the neighbors...
