Well It finally looked like I got them all using a combo of IE10 and FreeDownloadManager.  Only perhaps I didn't as the different instruments/patches either play fine, not at all or play but can't be controlled at all by the Kontakt GUI.  I'm starting over today using only IE10 and downloading one link at a time.  We'll see.  George Strezov has been very helpful and responsive and so I'm trying to do the same.  Maybe my troubleshooting will help a few others with their downloads.  Who knows?
 
 
 
EDIT AND UPDATE!
 
Everything working dandy now.  It turns out that some patches have to have the mod wheel turned up all the way at least once before they'll play AND some patches have the Kontakt GUI controls disabled for better performance...although it's concerning to so many that George says they'll probably change that in a 1.1 update.
 
This is one great and unique sounding library.  Well worth it.
 

I'm assuming this needs a full version of kontakt and not just the kontakt player? Sounds worth the ££ tho!

Wow! Yes, these are going into the collection for sure! Sounds great!

Bibs, I think these are for the full version only. It says on the product page that they don't load as a Kontakt Library so the full version of Kontakt is required to be able to load the patches.


BTW - need to check out the Storm Choir as well.. Sounds really cool!

From what I've heard & listened to the library isn't bad if you don't already have any string libs but I'm not blown away by it.

*Mod wheel is at max on first load and will remember its setting after each subsequent save.
*Vol range increase up to +6dB, default is now 0dB
*Outputs are now set to 'default' on load which means that vol/pan will work on the instruments (setting this to any other user outputs bypasses the instrument vol/pan)
*Shorts now have tighten and shorten buttons Microtune display fixed
*Auto Round Robin/Legato now on all long patches. This will activate whenever a note is repeated. Legato turns off for RR or chords. The number of RR variations can be adjusted in the script.

Both the recorded sound and the articulations are what set this library apart.  It has a much more up front and "in your face" tenor and tone.  If you (as I have to) need to recreate any and all orchestral and cinematic backgrounds this is an invaluable tool in your arsenal.  If you're just looking for some lush, pretty strings buy Omnisphere and use the Adagio instruments with varying levels of attack. But with this string package and the Strezov Storm Choir you're just about ready to score the next Batman nonsense.
