Now if you want to go in you user area you can't unless you tell them which mobile device you use.  There is no choice for "none".  Apparently you can't use IK stuff until you have a mobile device.  Yeah right you can select "other" but it really strikes me as strong arming and "Big Brotherish".  Assimilation is almost complete. Those who fear IK is turning into an all ios company may be correct.

I guess its just a bit of market research. Mine is an "other" but why can't you put "none"? It's a bit like companies (or individuals) that can't comprehend one is not on Facebook.

you can glean from the comments of their "presence" on these forums where their direction is headed .
Notice the loud defense offered whenever someone laments about the abandonment of their core products they steer the comments toward  I -junk..

In fairness they have developed 4 new Tracks FX...Orffered under what seems to be the new model selling "apps" as add ons...

I've already voiced my stand against their business model..

I'm not buying any more IK products....end of story...

Plenty of other vastly better supported "fish" in the sea...

I may be the only one to take a stand..but it's a stand nonetheless...
because the "junkies" will always need a 'fix", they'll always "applaud"
even a minor thing they do....but I'm done with IK.

4 years to get an update to "flagship" sampler is LUDICROUS,
while they poop out iCrap an an astronomical rate...

I'll still use what I have...and keep it current...as long as it's free..

But not spending another penny on their products...

They can sell iCrap till they're blue in the face...

iDon't care...

I actually like the "apps" approach.  I just need software for powerful computes, not pads of phones.

Since moving from XP to W7 I have had stabilty problems with all of the IK softsynths, i.e. SampleTank and others from the same family.  I would like to see some continued support and some updates for these products.  Meanwhile I have stopped using them in any new projects.  But I don't want to abandon these permanently, as more than half of my total sample content belongs to these softsynths.

I should add that, in contrast, IK's T-Racks effects, their CSR reverbs and their ampsims seem to be working perfectly.

We are working on SampleTank 3 which will bring 64 bit compatibility. You can also select other, its not just iOS/Android.

Since moving to Win 8, none of my IK stand alones work....not T-Racks, Not Amplitube,
not SampleTank, not Mirosalv, not SampleMoog, not SampleTron, not SonicSynth...none of them...

They will not recognize the Win 8 Quad Capture driver.  They all work in a host as a vst...
just not in stand alone...

But ALL of my other VI's work without issue in stand alone...

Go Figure..no wonder it takes them over 4 years to do updates....
Unless it's an iApp...in which case it will get addressed immediately...
