Any comments as to the value/content offered by the Waves Update Plan?

I've been thinking about it but would like some feedback.

Thanks.

For myself it would depend on which plugin(s) & version I currently have.
They rarely have bugs or problems so you're chances on missing a patch or bugfix during the WUP period are usually slim.

I started with Waves Gold bundle around 2000 & updated the WUP twice since. Both times for major updates, when it moved from dxi & v9. Plugins like the Renn collection, Doubler & a few others were added to the Gold bundle during that period while I was covered so I got those added to the bundle at no charge.
After my current WUP runs out I'll probably wait a year or two before renewing again.

They are in business to make money so even though their prices are now lower than in the past the WUP has increased. The overlapping coverage structure has changed too which makes the coverage time shorter & more expensive than it was previously.

I plan on using them for years to come but if you're not you might want to consider other options.

Mook,

The greatest advantage to the WUP is that
every dollar you spend on it you can use to
buy more Waves Plugins.

You get a voucher for the dollar amount you spend
good towards up to 50 percent off of a bundle
or 25 percent off of a single plugin.

AND you get whatever new version may come out during
the period of your Update plan and any new plugins added
to a bundle you own at no charge.

To me, if I'm planning on buying a new bundle from Waves,
I will investigate my WUP Options and then purchase the WUP
and use the voucher to help buy the new bundle or plugin.

That way I'm getting my NEW Bundle or Plugin AND basically
getting the WUP for free, so it's a win win.

Thanks for the info. I need to think on this a bit. I have the Gold bundle. I'd like to add a few of the Signature Series packs to that.

Might I recommend this INCREDIBLE and INSANE bargain...

I think it really depends on what you have as other said.

For me - I own a couple of smaller bundles like CLA Classics, Musicians' Bundle, Kramer's TTT and such as well as a few individual plugs - I was actually pretty shocked to see that the cost of the WUP for me was exceeding $250. I was expecting more along the lines of $60-80.

I see no real advantage in having those WUP'ed, since they're not likely to be enhanced w/ new plugs.
