I've been so damn busy (on the work front, not music) and last night was the first time I've been able to have a go at Zebralette. What I normally do, when I get a new synth, is create a project that only contains instances of the one synth. And then I play with all the different sound types, pads, plucks, percs, that sort of thing, and see what I, and it can come up with.
Now, I don't know whether it was me being on a roll last night, or that this is just a great synth (I suspect the latter) but I had a load of fun with this. A most inspiring session for sure.
I need to hit the manual some, because I'm not understanding the wave morphing thing just yet. But even so, I was really impressed by the sounds and the presets provided.
One really great thing about this VST, for me, is the interface and the fact that you can resize the window to suit you. A great idea that, and only a couple of other synths I have can do that, and still not to the extent that this u-he offering. Are all of the u-he interfaces capable of that?
