Got an email from jrrshop and it says this is a "free download".  Anyone tried it? I can't get it to download.

When I download it, it just gives me an index page and takes me back to my downloads to do the same thing, to download the index page.  It is not downloading the product.

EDIT:  Okay It must be a problem with my chrome download.  I tried it with Mozilla and with a different downloader and it is working--that is it is downloading the Beyer Dynamic virtual studio.

Will report later if it is worth it.

Wow. I'll have to try it. I love using  DT770 Pro's with the Focusrite VRM  box.

Thanks all for the topic. I went to the link scook notes above and downloaded it for free.

After unzipping the file there were two files without explanation. I created a beyerdynamic folder in my Sonar VSTs folder and dropped these two files in there.

After loading Sonar I went to customize on my plugin layouts to see if it was there and it is. I then added this as an effect on my master bus of a song and checked it out.

It's like the VRM box, but just has four different speakers to toggle between. I like it and am glad to have it. The VRM box has way more going for it, but this is a nice extra something to have available.

Thanks cecelius2 for bringing it up!

Good spot. I use these type of things and they are excellent. Hopefully this will be too.

Actually it has 4 different SPACES to toggle.  The web page talks about different speaker systems and spaces but I don't see any different speakers.  The data file that comes with it is a preset bank.  When you click on the left button thingy there is an option to load it.  I still don't get the routing.  It has possibilities and if they developed it into a paid app it would be good but the VRM is way better.  I would love it if the VRM were a VST instead of hardware.

This is useless IMO.
If you have to resort using this type of software try 112db RedLine or TB Isone from Toneboosters.

Isone from Toneboosters (who usually have great plugs) was completely useless to me.  This Beyer plug is much better IMO.  VRM is by FAR the best but it is hardware.
