You can download the PDF manual here:

I must say, as this price approaches 100 bucks, this is *way* tempting ... even though I probably need more plug-ins the way I need to lose more hair.  But at $2.50 per plug-in, very engaging GUIs and some enthusiastic reviews out there, this is a little hard to say no to.

Thanks for the manual pdf link.

after reading the manual there are only a few plugins that I would actually use very much, but 40 plugins is a good deal even at the current $139 price point.

I am getting more and more frugal with my cash - made a couple of bad choices in VST land and now I only want to buy either what I would use or something that is really great at a decent price point.

Are these plugins any good though?

I'm in! At $139, that is a great deal even if I only use 6 of them. I may use more, some are great and some aren't. Oh well

Now $129 with more than 3500 subscribers.  With four days left, there's a really good chance it will hit the magic 5000 subscriber mark and the $99 price.

Here are a couple of reviews written by my friend Adrian Frost (from back when the bundle only included 22 plug-ins):

Does anyone have experience with these?

Mostly guitar type effects and I like the thought of a guitar module that doesn't require a secondary host. This is tempting but I've got a guitar deal pending so I'll wait and see. It looks like a great deal if they sound good.

When you want to use the insert text box... make the post, then go back and edit it and the insert text box will work, then delete the original link... don't ask, I don't know.

Guys,

I think the group buy is down to $99 now, which comes out to under $3 per plugin if someone out there in cybespace did his/her math right.

My opinion with the majority that there are a few plugins that would never get used. A lot are spins on some form of tone control. Some, I have no idea what they are doing. The granulizers, bit crushers, ring modulators are deleted off my system. Varies with personal preference, so depends on how many you would really use as to how much the cost is per plugin.

There are some gems however. I have the VIP bundle and if this deal were thrown at me now, would probably spring for it for the 10 or so plugs I would actually use that aren't just clones of something else.

Not at my DAW computer now so probably screwing up the names, but the Distorter plugin is weak. Sounds like a dry tone mixed with "fizz" that many authors are trying to avoid.

Other overdrives are impressive. California, Tweed, British, couple others. Have a growl in with clean distortion creating a unique and very fine niche.

The 3D plug is excellent. Good Leslie sim in there as well.

The two floor box reverbs (plate and digital) are great, not something expected from a simplified floor box.

Echoflex will get some use.

Beyond these, stomps there that are good but can be equalled even with freeware.

The suite has good compressors, flanger, phaser, etc. Like many other third party choices.

Some of the tone control type plugs are good.

Don't understand the fine print of the upgrade details, but the company allows free upgrades for life to whatever you would buy into.
Need to verify this though in relation to the group buy since there is mention of discount coupons for upgrades. Might only apply to someone who spent $500 full price for the suite.

My understanding is that there are some very much needed stomps in the way of noise gates, de'essers and more in the pipeline. Investment for the future then if you can upgrade free forever.

Very happy with the stomps I am using. Customer service has always been quick and effective. They care about their users.

No ILock, online activation bull crap.

Probably worth it, all things considered. Best advice before the group buy goes down, download the demos and put the plugs thru the torture test.

Best,
John K

Nope.  Currently at $129, but almost certainly hitting $119 by this time tomorrow.  Over three days left and numbers are increasing at a pace that makes $99 a likely outcome.

DontCrack clarified this point in a later post in the (long) thread:

We will be sending an "investor certificate" to all the participants that have purchased our V.I.P. bundle by the end of the promo. This "investor certificate" will give them a direct 50% OFF on all future P&M product releases and there will be quite a few. This is for brand new products, not the new plugs added to the V.I.P. bundle as ALL upgrades are already FREE of charge.  We are working on projects that are again going to be very different...

I took a second look at the bundle after initially blowing it off due to the negative experience I'd had with the one P&M plugin I'd tried (the transient shaper, which sucked and was later deleted).

$2.50 per plugin and free upgrades forever sounds like a great deal, but only if there is stuff in there that one might actually need. I ran down the list and identified just four plugins that I'd have any interest in, all of them redundant to other products already in my current collection.

If you currently have no plugins other than the stock bundled effects that came with SONAR, then this VIP Bundle would be like Christmas morning. You'll easily get $99 worth of entertainment from them. Unfortunately, that's not me, so I'll be passing on this offer.
