Lion Habitat did us the honor of a private visit. My wife and I are crazy about cats. Small ones, big ones, all of them. Even when they're visibly not all that happy to see us. 
 

 
 
I'd seen lions before but never that close.
 
 
And the coolest thing is that we actually go to play w/ a cub at the end of the visit. In the lifelong dreams category, holding a lion cub and rubbing his ears and belly ranked pretty high on my list.

Rain is my hero.

I've been that close to a lion once. It really does something to you! Never held a lion cub tho, but I've seen them up close too. Lions are special creatures!
 
I was that close to a couple of tigers once too. I never knew how beautiful they are until I saw them up close. Being so close to these animals, even when they are living in captivity, is an awe inspiring experience.

We're in Vegas - the entire state looks like one gigantic kitty litter quarry. ;)

For a little kitty, that's still NOT a little kitty!
 
(So would that one be called the "Prince" of the jungle at that age?  )

:) Actually, her name was Princess. We were the first humans she was exposed to, besides the owner. Pretty cool.

I almost hedged my bets (it being Vegas and all) and added "or Princess."
