When Sonar X1 was released, I bought it and at the time as there was an offer to bundle Dimension Pro 1.5.
I've never actually used it much, but I'm now taking an interest in Soft Synths. I have 3 versions of Sonar on my PC...
* Sonar 6 Producer.
* Sonar X1 Producer.
* Sonar X3 Basic.

Dimension Pro is available in X1 & X3, but it does not appear as an option in Sonar 6. Is it incompatible with Sonar 6?

The full version of DimPro shipped with X1 Producer. It should be available as a VST plug-in in SONAR 6 and both X series versions. If the 32bit version of SONAR 6 was installed, it would require the 32bit version of DimPro. The 64bit versions of SONAR could run either the 32bit or 64bit version of DimPro.

Are they all on the same machine?
If so, try setting VstScan.exe to run as administrator.
This is a shared utility, and after installing X3, my older versions could not see newer VST's until I did this.
I believe there was some mention of what had changed in the readme file.

Thanks Bob. I ran VstScan.exe as administrator on my Win 8.1 PC, and I watched as it went through this process and saw it find Dimension Pro, but still it does not appear in Sonar 6. 
And yes... all my versions of Sonar are on the same PC.
I'll try a re-boot.
 
Thanks also to Scook about clarifying the 32/64 bit requirements.

If you only have the SONAR X version it may be locked to those, so it don't show up in SONAR 6.  Or if it is 64 bit and S6 is 32 bit, it won't show up.  There are several reasons - I'd use the SONAR version it came with.

Yup - I use Kontakt 5 mostly, but many Dim Pro sounds are quite good, actually, and it usually finds a welcome place somewhere in quite a few of my projects.
