I have been using the M1 and Wavestation since the old dongle days and I have upgraded them every time and upgrade was available. Unfortunately there are no stand alone versions in the 64 bit Win upgrade. I hope they come out with a stand alone patch soon.

Is this an automated response? Standalone patch?

What on earth for, can you give any reason that a specific 64 bit standalone is required?

I get why it's an issue to upgrade the dll's to run natively on a 64 bit DAW but fail to grasp why a specific 64 bit standalone is required.

If it really bothers you that it's not got any magic 64 bittyness going down (whatever you imagine that to be) then run the 64 bit dll in a 64 bit version of Savihost, job done.

You'll then be able to tell your friends about all the obvious improvements you are imagining from running the 64bit version as a standalone and they are bound to be impressed...

A 64 bit standalone of Kontakt where you could be hauling 32Gb of 24 bit samples, yes, a Korg legacy synth that's running 8 mb of wavetables with a depth of 12-16 bit if that then, nope.  Also IIRC although it doesn't have any bearing on the compiled executable the internal processing of the Legacy series is done internally at 32bit float.  It means that it's likely that given the amount of effects processing going on in the digital synths at least the output quality is better than the originals but there is no benefit to be had in using a 64 bit executable as a stand-alone.

Hi Jonbouy, by stand alone patch I meant a patch to the program to run my M1 and my Wavestation in stand alone mode. I had a defective install of these programs that did not yield these stand alone modes. After repairing the install all is fine.
Sorry for the confusion and any inconvenience I may have caused.

Incidentally, since this was bumped and someone mentioned re-authorisation issues...

I've had to re-authorized two Korg plugs today (M1 and Polysix, which were authorized like a week apart).

Nothing has changed on my MacBook configuration wise, and nothing new besides a security patch I've installed this morning. But that's in no way major, I don't think I should have to re-authorise software for such a thing...

Odd.

I'll keep an eye on it.
well you have the email from them, and when you log on to ya korg account , it's listed on the right ?
not sure what it uses to know the pc/mac.. normally the main thing with be the board ID + cpu serial number.
their authorisation system is bad though. it's a pity as they expect you to know to go back when their web page doesn't auto refresh or point to where it should.

My DAW is always online and it's relatively easy to re-authorize anyway at least compared to, say, IK's plug-ins.

But it's still something we shouldn't have to put up w/ - you open a project w/ those synths and start getting pop ups asking you to authorize this and that one again for no reason...

Well that kinda sorta almost really absolutely SUCKS!

Sorry to hear about this activation issue. Hope you get it resolved. Good luck!

Not sure but I guess encryption on sites and servers must be set to; 'Extremely Paranoid Levels' (Highest) not surprising because the past few years have read in the news an alarming rise of online criminal incidents (sites hacked, users accounts accessed and such)!

After going through the install and activation step by step and still.... if software activation is going to be this much of a pain to resolve, then 'they' should offer alternative activation assistance; by phone or Email to get the issue resolved. Give them a call (or Email.)

The most common cause is probably caused by 'not' doing the install and activation with computer user administration setup correctly and/or security settings are blocking the activation. But if you have already double, triple, quadrupliloopie been through all that over and over and still having issues?. Give them a call (or Email.)

FWIW, no other issues since, and I've been using them extensively.

Also, as Jeff M and Jeff Evans pointed, those additional banks for WS are totally worth it.

Considering that I like to re-save every preset/patch in my host's native format (which provides me an opportunity to audition them and take note of the ones I think I could use), I'll probably be busy w/ Wavestation and M1 for a year...
