Guys,
Gut level apology to Obi for the rash of **** in the ancient past, over the i stuff.
Got to evaluate his evaluation that things are running to mobile aps. Hope it benfits others.
I don't have an i anything and maybe therefore missing out on the revolution and the benefits I'm too dense to take advantage of.
Old age technology here with a bulky PC running everything in the studio and I'm fine with that. From the PC perspective, voiced by other members, Amplitube, dynamite rig could be Amp 6 by now if the resources had not been drawn off to the i apps.
Note about Sampletank and the other free libraries.
32 bit and the samples are too frequency limited. Ain't no Kontact. However the IK instruments offer a strong plus for Sonar users or the likes of Studio One...
Probably the only guy left pressing this shortfall in Sonar, where sampltank helps bail me out until the issue in Sonar is addressed. Think everyone else has either given up or moved to Reaper or an EnergyXT patch for a fix.
Sonar is stuck in ancient time, refusal to move forward in handling vsti's. Correct me if I is wrong, but don't think I am....
Unless you are Bit who can handle a one synth input with elegance, some tech help is needed to compensate for talent like I got to rely upon. Then there are clients who want thick sounds produced quickly.
Sampletank loads several layers across the spectrum. Elegant panning and stereo presentation up with the best of them. What may be missing in the quality of a single sample is easily made up for by layering.
Got to respect also that Sampletank free and the likes of Amitube free version are offered to some kid (or adult) who could not otherwise afford a pro ap. This stuff is good, and a humble thanks to IK for offering this portal.

edited to tone down rant and fix spellling err's...
