People tend to forget that the sound of any audio software is what really counts. People are STILL using these plugins for production on hits, movies and TV scores everyday. We are working on SampleTank 3 right now, it is expected to release this year. Complaining more about it isn't going to change it, we are in the process of giving you what you all want and have been asking for. For now, these sound libraries are listed at great prices (Especially with our promos) and will be able to be used with the next generation of SampleTank.

As I said...and the "junkies" will pile their money on regardless...

Feel free to spend your money on it...and then wait
another 4 years for the upgrade...the clock starts ticking at release...tick tock..

While every thing "I" continues to be supported and updated regularly...

We now return you to your regular scheduled propaganda....I mean, programming...

Geeze, ol pal.  You kinda make this like shooting fish in a barrel.  I'm sure if you re-read the sentence above and really think about what it is saying to existing and potential customers you, hopefully, will re-evaluate it...re-formulate it...and re-state it in a more user friendly and customer oriented way.  Or at least one would hope.

The petulance of your sentiments cannot be overstated.  Would you pests simply quit complaining and take WHAT we decide to give you WHEN we decide to give it to you.  After all YOU are simply the customer base that has...up to the current time...provided us with all our income and job security...but nevermind that...we will decide what you should have and when you should have it.  Now, kindly, shut the hell up, until we toss a crumb your way will ya??

I'll give you this...complaining certainly, so far, hasn't done any good as between IK and SoundToys it's a race to see who's the slowest to port to 64bit.  And...as to giving us what we REALLY want, IK has basically slapped us in the face for over two years now.  How long should we continue to turn the other cheek, ol pal?   If you weren't working for them, how long would you??

+1,000,000

Obi, we realize you are just the messenger and just doing your job....just as Andrew does here...even in the face
of being completely wrong, you have an "obligation" to defend the "provider" of your bread...

As the Customer, we really only have ONE SURE WAY to voice our displeasure and dissatisfaction....as all the rants over the past few years about it haven't been worth a HILL OF BEANS.....JUST DON'T BUY THE PRODUCT...

When IK Mutli-iApps realizes that they've LOST their PC and Mac Customers, due to lack of support, THEN maybe something
will change....probably the Corporate name to what's above...as the PC and Mac customers have been TRULY left
high and dry...

Ozone has already kicked T-Racks to the curb...
Guitar Rig and others are kickin' the pants off of Amplitube..
Kontakt and Alchemy have beat the snot out of SampleTank...

AND if you people seriously want to literally throw good money after bad...then, by all means, invest more of your hard
earned cash and wait another 4 years for the next upgrade...

NOT ONE of my 64 bit IK PC programs will work in stand alone in Win 8 with my Quad Capture...yet every other program I have works perfectly fine in stand alone.....has there been any movement towards a Win 8 compatible update to the IK Programs.....NOPE....even with a YEAR of beta test time and 6 months after the release of Win 8.

IK is DEAD as far as their PC apps goes...you might as well face it...it's their LOWEST priority...proven by their

iFrenzy in both Hardware and Apps...both release wise and update wise...

As I stated previously, i'M done...I'm not wasting another penny on a company that,
as Yorolpal stated, is going to TELL you to F Off and you'll get it when we're ready...and NO SOONER...
even though its 2 years late to the table...

I for one am not complaining about these products as sounds. They are very nice. I am complaining about having them and not being able to use them. Once they're 64bit, we'll all be singing the praises of the Sampletank again. Hopefully a more ledgable GUI is in the works as well. I look forward to the next generation but it's been how long since you've been saying, "it won't be long now?" You'll just have to look past the rhetoric until "the next generation" is released. As Freddie say's, "64bit, it really matters."

Well I am glad that we at least will be able to use the current  sound libraries with the new Sampletank when it will be released. that's at least something ;)

As someone who owns most of the IKMM products, I can relate to the frustration of iApps (which are of no use to me) being developed/released while we wait for PC apps/plugins.

That said, I think the quoted statement goes a bit far.
I much prefer the T-Racks CS Grand bundle to Ozone.

Feature wise, Kontakt is far more advanced than SampleTank-2... but you can also say that about HALion and Mach 5v3 (which is probably the closest competitor).

IMO, A lot of these decisions that we don't fully understand... are the result of a company having to do what's necessary to continue growing and staying in business.  Read making money...

Long-time Cakewalk users remember we went thru this same thing with Cakewalk/Sonar.  Sonar is currently one of the most (if not the most) advanced DAW applications currently available.  But if you remember back far enough, advanced features often lagged behind Logic, Cubase, Samplitude, etc.
It seemed the company was more focused on the "hobbiest" than the "pro".
Bad in the short-term for "power-users"... but a good long-term business decision.  There aren't enough serious/pro users to keep a growing software company in business.  The casual user has to be a major part of the equation.

I'm certainly anxious/curious to see SampleTank-3
Just some food for thought...

Guitar Rig and others are kickin' the pants off of Amplitube..
With all due respect, Guitar Rig hasn't been updated in a year and a half and offers nothing new in Komplete 9. During the same time period, IK has released nearly 20 new gear models for AmpliTube.

If you need notation, video or VST3 you're still going through this with Sonar.  As far as video and notation are concerned, I'm convinced that Cakewalk has made a strategic decision to remain behind the industry and stay "hobbiest" in those areas.  Perhaps some people think IK has made a similar decision with ST3.  I think IK just had to make strategic decisions given the world economy and we ST users were the ones who had to be thrown under the bus.
