Okay.  I was busy.  I don't know what else I was doing, but for some reason, I was occupied with other things when SyFy channel's Sharknado premiered.  From the description of what I missed, it would appear that I need to rethink my priorities.

I love the fact that the SyFy folks called him up and asked him to write the movie based upon the title, which he initially thought was SharkNato.  I think he's just given them an idea for a spinoff.

These headlines caught my eye and now I know why I'm all for Reality TV.....

One of the many things that cracks me up about this is how convinced some people are that they should be concerned about real tornados raining down sharks upon an unsuspecting populace.  That's obviously impossible

Yea, I thought it might be about our sharks stopping those pesky ruskies from invading western Europe.  Shark tank - the real deal.
 
But still, flying sharks landing on LAians is a pretty good concept.  My wife sat through it playing iSoliatire and muttering "this is the dumbest movie ever."  At the commercials I flipped to "Jason and the Argonaughts" (the original Harryhaussen one).  Interesting contrast.  I'd like to see the falling sharks take on the skeletons.
