I don't really mind the Royal Family as people, I mean they're a historical curiosity or whatever and have every right to exist....I just have a problem with them existing on the public dime. They're Britain's biggest welfare scroungers. And the argument goes "well they bring a lot of money into the country" but that's not the point really is it? It's the principle of the thing. It's inherently wrong to raid the pockets of ordinary people in order to keep these people in abject luxury. If they're worth however much in tourist cash, then let them stand on their own two feet and run themselves as a business. They're perfectly capable of self sufficiency.

I must have been too busy. I completely missed all of the hoopla. I'm happy everything came out all right.

I still remember when a local radio station in San Diego had a contest to come up with a name for Prince Charles' and Lady Diana's first born...  Up Chuck and Di was the winner.
