My cry baby don't cry no more. I liked it too. I bought it for $79.99 a while back on sale. I priced the same thing today at $150. That's quite a jump. Now I need to research and find "the Wah" for my rig. I hear there's lots more choices now than there used to be.

You gotta try the Vox V847. It's the kind that Hendrix used back in the day. It cries like a hospital nursery. I think they're very reasonable too. I bought mine over 10 years ago so I'm not sure now, but don't buy anything without checking it out. You'll like it.

My cry baby has died on me several times over the 30 or so years I have owned it. But I keep fixing it :-)

It is working real nice right now.

I hope you can get it fixed or find something else out there that suits you

I ordered a Cry Baby. It's cheap and it works. There was a bad Solder in the in one of the transistors so It would cost as much to fix it as just get a new one. Thanks for the input guys!

LOL.... I just traded my mint VOX Chrome V847 in for a Dunlop Q835 which has Wah range adjustment, a tone control, and oddly, a boost switch.  I listened to nearly every one available on YouTube before I made my selection.

The VOX was just way to bright and harsh on the upper end for me and made my ears bleed.  lol  The new pedal will be here on Weds, and I'll let ya'll know how it compares then.

I've been using my Bad Horsie (the original) since it first came out, and luckily it's still going strong.  So, back to crying??

I've never been one for pedals and FX..... well not in the past 35 years or so..... crank up the tube gain, slap some reverb on it, and let it roll, has been my mantra.....

In all the years, I never had a waa waa pedal..... When I started playing, I did have a fuzz box....and a "hot tubes" distortion....... and for a short time I had a chorus and a delay..... I sold them all.

Is a POD 2 considered a pedal?

POD 2 gets the pedal FX, but you can't "stomp" on it (well, you shouldn't :)). POD Farm just gives you all the pedals, amps, cabs, and even mics with a LOT of really good sounds/tones. I have the POD2, but I used to use it only when I plugged in my amp......now it's all going through the PC with POD Farm.
