I've not used the sounds in EZKeys. I use it to generate parts, then move those into (typically) Ivory etc.

As Dave (mod bob) sez, it's an OK piano. I do have the EZKeys upright but I have not tried that out yet. I should.

That's the thing I love about TT...they keep their products up to date and keep getting the product out...
Their MIDI alone is worth the price of their Products..and they keep it coming....which is GREAT!!

I do that with a lot of things...sometimes I'll use the MIDI of Addictive Drums with Steven Slate Drums..
or EZ Drummer MIDI with Addictive, or etc....to get the sound I'm after....and it works well...
Same with the Keys...

That's the beauty of having these things....you can interchange...

I bought the AK bundle a month ago. Love them.

I purchased the bundle from AD also. Got to play about an hour today.

I am quite pleased with the package and the studio grand - wide ribbon preset sounds very good on my system as is. The jazish preset also has a nice bright edge to it. It would be very easy to tweak/create your own presets from these that would cover most bases.

The upright is quite usable and can be tweaked to fill most background piano parts. The velocity response is very good.

The Mk 1 is the weak link although still quite usable for chord voicings that are not too dense. Spread chords and melody lines sound fine. Would sit well in a mix.

All-in-all I'm happy with the purchase and it was well worth the price for 3 instruments of this quality. Like Bapu said, $28 per instrument is/was a pretty good deal!

Kind regards,
Rick

I just created a piano track with EZKeys and tomorrow I will be comparing its grand with Addictive to see how well the MIDI translates etc.

I know that is not thorough as it should be in context of a mix but I just want to see if I like either better for this particular piano track (first in isolation).

Having some 8-10 different pianos is maddening sometimes. Remember the days when you went into the studio and you lived with the piano that was there?

@cclarry,

Seems I've had some negative experiences with some products lately so it felt good to say something positive about this recent purchase.

@Bapu,

"Remember the days when you went into the studio and you lived with the piano that was there?"

I don't remember too much from those days but, yeah, that's the way it was...

Yup...got it but saw that the demos sounded different than when I played an approximation back using my controller.  Had to adjust my velocity curve to compensate.  But very good.  Me likey.

Thanks for the heads up on this cc.

This is an excellent keyboard package. Fast to load, sounds excellent. Can't seem to really dig into the bass octaves which is a shame.

Effects by PSP and they even used Coles 4038 ribbons to record I see. High class!

Hey backwoods, ol pal...I had the same problem but solved it by adjusting the "scaling" and velocity curve on my controller board.  In fact it fixed several issues I'd been having with other software as well. YMMV:-)
