I remember growing up with Sabbath playing in the house. My parents had Vol. 4 and Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath. So years later, when Crazy Train first hit the airwaves, I recognized the voice immediately. And even though I was already messing around with acoustic guitar, it was Blizzard and Diary that led me to start playing electric. I was a HUGE Ozzy fan to the point that the kids at school all called me Ozzy as a nickname. Then I remember when I had first heard about the plane crash I was scared that Ozzy got killed. Then when I learned the truth, I was relieved that it wasn't him. I was just a dumb 12 year old kid. And even though it was Randy inspiring me to play guitar, it was Ozzy that I wanted to be like at that point in time. Wow... Now I see his true colors, and it just makes me ashamed that I ever looked up to him. But like I said, I was a dumb 12 year old. I'm glad Randy's legacy will never be tarnished in such a way.
