I just got a call... I'll head in to town at lunch time to meet up with a camera crew and we'll do a news story featuring an interview with Mr. Belafonte.
The circumstances are unfortunate, as it is a topical news story. I'd rather meet him while doing something about music, but I still look forward to meeting a legendary performer who's work I have enjoyed so much. I'm wondering how long we can go before it slips out that the camera crew is headed by my friend Kevin Deyo. (pronounced day-oh). I hope we can have some fun even though the subject of the story will be rather solemn.
