Jamstix is not a cheap synth but I like it because I'm not a drummer. It actually creates the drum parts for you based on a number of parameters that you can select.  It was my main "go-to" drummer for a very long time and I still use it in some projects, plus, it can use samples from other drum synths as well, which expands it's kits library.
