Hi.
I've been looking for choir library that contains slides of notes, both male and female.
And unusual effects. Omnisphere has good collection of choirs but i can't afford it now.
You probably know that Dimension Pro contains preset "Ahh Female" in Vocals section. A very good preset, are there libraries that contain more sounds like this? And musical phrases with/without words.
Thanks for advice.

Maybe not in your budget but I would check these 2 out to see what's available. There's other very good ones as well.

Expensive is SoundIron's
(Bapu has the full Mercury IIRC)
I got the Micro choir & the sound quality is excellent.
*Today they released a Micro V2 for 19.99

I just recently started using STORM Choir, limited but good for epic styles.
I like it quite a bit, got it at intro price but now it's $199.00.

Kontakt has a good basic factory vox lib as well.

Kostas, do you have Kontakt? There are a number of free and cheap "oohs and aahs" type libraries out there. Slides have to be done with the pitch wheel, though.

You can pick up Miroslav Philharmonik inexpensively now, and it has some quite useable choirs. Again, just your typical ooh aah mmm and ooh-aah though.

Omnisphere does indeed have some great-sounding choirs, but they're mostly the same old oohs and aahs as well. (Here's a live track that I added Omnisphere choirs to in post-production. Choirs come in at 2:30.  Multiple samples were used to get the articulations.)

I've used Kontakt for some female choir ooohs and ahhhs and IIRC they have other vowel articulations as well.

Kontakt is a fairly decent and very affordable synth. High quality sounds relatively speaking.

As Bit pointed out, the pitch wheel should allow you to slide or gliss the notes.

An absolutely fab new choir library (yea, I've got it) is the Storm Choir from Strezov Sampling

www.strezov-sampling.com

It incorporates many different phrases and allows you to manipulate the start times of the samples to gain even more.  Very cinematic...very good.

I believe it's around $150 semolians...or was when I bought it.

KeyRect Carl. I have the Venus (female) and Mars (male) choirs and they are stunning. They each have a phrase builder tool that is a blast in and of itself.

HERE is a quickie example of them I made with the phrase builders (also used Action Strings). You'll have to endure a bit of strings before the choirs kick in. Just a little bit of fun.

Speak of the devil, I just received an email from Sound Iron for the update to the Micro. So the $19.99 is for the new version.

"The new Olympus Micro 2.0 includes 140 Samples and is 207 MB installed, with 24 feature-packed nki presets (12 K4 & 12 K5). This library requires the full version of Kontakt. Sorry, the free Kontakt Player does not support Olympus Micro. It's now priced at $19.99, but as an owner of 1.0, you can Click Here to get the full upgrade for only $9.00!

I want that Storm library that Yoropal has. He's still all excited about it- and that means it must be good.  So, I'm saving my pennies.

Also, you guys.... remember that SoundIron Micro Choir some of bought into? I see it has a nine dollar upgrade with some notable new features that might actually make it useful-maybe.  Let us know if any of you are taking the nine dollar plunge, and what you think. It is now 19.99 dollars to those interested in a small sample of  Olympus. http://www.soundiron.com/.../choirs/olympus-micro/

Thank you all for advices, i appreciate them.

I have Kontakt Player, i will search for them, thanks. Yes pitch wheel works in semitone area, but if adjusted more it sound non-realistic.
The Soundiron's Micro Choir looks like a good option. Does "polyphonic legato" in soundiron's libraries mean you can make slides with it?
It's a pity that no one knows about such sounds as "Ahh Female", i hope one day to find them. Hmm looks like i found some at 8dio.
